1) Transactional emails (no marketing)

We may send emails that are necessary to provide the service. These do not require marketing consent.

  • Account notifications
  • Product updates
  • Billing messages
  • Usage reminders

2) Marketing emails

At signup, we ask for explicit consent with wording such as: “I agree to receive updates and growth tips. I can unsubscribe anytime.”

We only send promotional emails if you opt in, and our checkbox is off by default. We also use a confirmation email flow (double opt-in) before enabling marketing delivery.

3) EU legal basis for promotional email

Under EU rules, promotional emails require one of the following legal bases:

A) Explicit marketing consent: a clear opt-in checkbox at signup.

B) Soft opt-in (existing customer rule): marketing without a separate checkbox is only allowed when all of the following apply:

  • The email was collected in the context of a sale or service.
  • The marketing is for similar products or services.
  • The user was clearly informed at signup.
  • Every email contains an unsubscribe link.

4) Unsubscribe anytime

Every email includes an unsubscribe link. You can unsubscribe at any time.
